     The Multicultural Clinical Center, Springfield, Va., specializes in cross-cultural mental health and substance abuse services for the diverse ethnic metropolitan community.      During the last two decades, the Washington Metropolitan area, like the rest of the nation, has seen an escalating number of multicultural children at risk. At the same time, these children have seen scarce and fragmented therapeutic services to meet their needs.
     For these reasons, the Multicultural Clinical Center is committed to providing comprehensive, community based services. The implementation of these services is guided by the overriding principles of preserving the family unit whenever possible, while protecting the children.
     The goal is to provide the least restrictive and least intrusive services to promote family stabilization and growth through culturally-sensitive services that are provided in a continuum of care.

Cases may be referred for Intake Assessment, Psychological Assessment, Neuropsychological Assessment, Developmental Assessment or Psychiatric Assessment. The process then goes through the following process:

Case Plan approved by the referral agency, Social Services Department, Court, School, etc.
